BOCA RATON, Fla., Nov. 06, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton Investments, announces that Gail E. Cohen, chair of Fiduciary Trust’s board of directors and general trust counsel, has been appointed to the board of trustees of the Boca Raton Museum of Art.
“As a South Florida resident, I know first-hand the vital role the Boca Raton Museum of Art plays in enriching our community,” said Ms. Cohen, who serves as chair of Fiduciary Trust International of the South. “I am grateful for the opportunity to help the museum fulfill its mission as a cultural and creative force in South Florida.”
The Boca Raton Museum of Art was established by local artists in 1950 as the Art Guild of Boca Raton. Since then, the organization and its campus have grown to encompass an art school, guild, museum, and sculpture garden. The collections at the museum encompass a broad spectrum of artists, media, and styles. The museum recently undertook a $1.8 million renovation of its exterior spaces, which will be unveiled on December 3, 2018. For more information, visit: https://www.bocamuseum.org/.
Ms. Cohen joined Fiduciary Trust in 1994 and has more than 30 years of experience in the field of trusts and estates. In addition to serving on the Boca Raton Museum of Art’s board of trustees, Ms. Cohen is a member of the professional advisory boards of the Anti-Defamation League in Florida and Jewish Adoption and Family Care Options (JAFCO), a nonprofit which houses South Florida children removed from abusive homes.
“We are very proud of Gail and her extensive volunteerism,” said John M. Dowd, chief executive officer of Fiduciary Trust. “Gail’s civic and philanthropic efforts in South Florida embody Fiduciary Trust’s commitment to supporting the communities where our clients and team members live and work.”
