Fort Lauderdale, FL, Nov. 07, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The latest advancements in clinical data management, analytics, automated medical coding and randomization claimed the spotlight at the 8th Annual Innovation Forum, a customer summit recently hosted by OmniComm Systems, Inc. (OTCQX: OMCM), a leading global provider of clinical data management technology.
During three days of spirited engagement, Innovation Forum 2018 attracted attendees representing 37 life science companies/organizations from 11 countries. In addition to networking activities, participants heard presentations from about 25 thought leaders, including OmniComm customers who have achieved significant gains in clinical trials productivity, automation, data quality, operational efficiency and compliance using OmniComm’s suite of eClinical solutions. The event was live-tweeted under the hashtag: #OMCM2018.
“It was a great opportunity to expand my own knowledge on the presentation topic and receive feedback on how others in the industry view the information being shared,” said John Mann, vice president, Project Delivery at PRA Health Sciences, and a featured speaker at the conference. “I valued most the connections with the other people there using OmniComm products and the best practices about the current and new releases. It is great to see a clearly defined roadmap of the future and current issues that OmniComm openly shares across its products to show they are listening to the end users.”
OmniComm’s commitment to its customers extends to honoring organizations that share OmniComm’s passion for progress, creativity, collaboration and advancement in life sciences. Each year, the Excellence in Innovation Awards program recognizes life science organizations that have designed and implemented significant clinical research innovation utilizing OmniComm’s technology and services, resulting in improved operational efficiencies, best practices and business outcomes.
The 2018 Excellence in Innovation Award recipients included:
- A large pediatric research hospital – for adoption of single sign-on using TrialMaster and SAML 2.0, for early adoption of IRTMaster randomization technology and for implementing EHR-to-EDC data integration across a portfolio of trials.
- A major Canadian-based CRO – for deploying the TrialMaster ePRO with foreign language solution to global sites in multiple languages.
- One of the world’s largest CROs – for leveraging TrialOne along with Tableau to create an interactive visualization and dashboard analytics capability, and for expanding direct data capture technology using Mirth and HL7 messaging.
“The Innovation Forum is the most important event of the year for OmniComm. This is the forum that gives us direct access to our valued customer base, which helps us establish our future corporate strategy, product direction and development, and growth strategy. It is also the forum that allows our clients to interact with each other to share ideas and experiences to improve their clinical research processes through our enabling technologies and to learn from each other about the most current trends affecting our industry,” said Stephen Johnson, CEO and president of OmniComm. “I value the feedback from our clients. Learning more about their challenges, both from an industry perspective and from a tactical perspective, gives us the insights that we need to enable us to develop products and services that meet their evolving needs and help them to meet these challenges head on.”
During Innovation Forum, OmniComm featured recently launched products, including TrialMaster® Version 5, TrialOne® updates, IRTMaster, AutoEncoder and Acuity Analytics. Innovation Forum attendees also participated in product workshops prior to the two-day General Session. The half-day workshops offered free training and skills enhancement with TrialMaster EDC, TrialBuilder® and TrialOne.
