Not-for-profit hospital extends and further expands portfolio to include integrated registration, scheduling tools and medication management solutions
CHICAGO, Nov. 12, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Allscripts (NASDAQ: MDRX) today announced that Hospital for Special Care, in New Britain, Connecticut, expanded and extended its commitment to Allscripts through 2026, creating a long, productive and innovative collaboration with the organization. With this expansion, the organization’s portfolio will now include Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances, Surescripts Medical History Acute, and Sunrise™ Enterprise Registration and Scheduling to support the organization’s strategic medication management initiatives.
Hospital for Special Care (HSC) is the fourth largest, free-standing long-term acute care hospital in the U.S. and the only one in the nation serving adults and children. HSC is recognized for advanced care and rehabilitation in pulmonary care, acquired brain injury, medically-complex pediatrics, neuromuscular disorders including ALS research, spinal cord injury, comprehensive heart failure and comprehensive inpatient and outpatient treatment for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder.
