KENNETT SQUARE, Pa., Nov. 29, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via OTC PR WIRE-- Good Gaming, Inc. (OTCQB :GMER) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the expansion of its content to include weekly Call of Duty: Black Ops IV tournaments through its collaboration with Koralis Entertainment Inc.
As previously announced, Good Gaming Inc., through its Operating Agreement with ViaOne Gaming Inc. and its relationship with Koralis Entertainment Inc. (and their 2050esports.com brand), have collaborated for a series of regional esport tournaments through large sport venues and weekly livestream tournament play.
The weekly tournaments, which initiated with Street Fighter V, are now expanding to include Call of Duty: Black Ops IV. A number of other competitive esport games are also slated in the near future. The addition of Call of Duty: Black Ops IV is in direct line with the Company's intent to increase content for the purpose of creating a 24/7 streaming channel through several media outlets to attract gamers and subscribers on a global basis.
Released by developer Activision, Call of Duty has created 18 different series over the last 15 years and generated over $16 billion in sales. That makes the game one of the most popular first-person shooter, multiplayer games in the esport arena. Call of Duty: Black Ops IV (released on October 12, 2018) had the largest launch of digital sales in Activision's history with 4.2 million copies sold in the first 30 days and 34 million hours streamed in its first week.
Call of Duty: Black Ops IV tournaments are currently set up in 2v2 player teams with the intent of developing tournaments with larger teams in the future. Starting this week, tournaments will be held every Thursday. The Company also plans on initiating leaderboards so gamers can qualify to compete in much larger live regional tournaments.
Good Gaming Inc. COO Eric Brown stated, "We are very pleased to announce our latest Call of Duty: Black Ops IV weekly tournaments. This game has proven to be one of the most popular first-person shooter games in 2018. It represents the type of content and tournament play we desire as we build and develop our recently announced streaming channel for a global audience. Please stay tuned as we look to expand our content to include the latest and most competitive tournament games in the esport arena."
