This unit features a NEMA 56 motor frame and can be installed with industrial systems via an integrated mounting foot.
The EXP-MTR-1P-230-50HZ-0.5HP-3.6K-56 fractional explosion proof motor for flammable work sites is thermally protected and operates with 230V AC single-phase 60Hz. The 1/2 HP motor offers 3.4 full-load amps and 2.5 amps of no-load current. This unit can generate 3,600 RPM and provides 0.751 lb. ft. of torque with 200% locked rotor torque and 280% break down torque.
This powerful explosion proof motor is IP55-rated, fully enclosed and fan cooled featuring an ambient temperature rating of 50˚C. This unit features aluminum endshields and is protected by a NEMA 56 motor frame featuring Class F insulation with 1.0 service factor. The motor is equipped with a 12” x 12” x 8” NEMA-rated explosion proof box for completing electrical connections.
This durable motor is rated Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D, and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G. This unit is foot mounted to support the motor’s weight and is suitable for hazardous locations, industrial facilities, pumps, mixers, conveyors, manufacturing, food processing, chemical plants and more.
