MILWAUKEE, Dec. 04, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Artisan Partners announced today that Artisan International Small Cap Fund has become Artisan International Small-Mid Fund. The Fund is open to new investors through Investor (ARTJX) and Institutional (APHJX) shares, as well as a newly available Advisor (APDJX) share class. Rezo Kanovich, formerly of OppenheimerFunds, serves as the Fund’s lead portfolio manager and sole decision maker.
Mr. Kanovich has 19 years of investment experience, including six years as the portfolio manager of the Oppenheimer International Small-Mid Company Fund prior to joining Artisan Partners in October. Mr. Kanovich is supported by a dedicated team of research analysts, whom have worked with him previously. The New York-based team is now part of the Artisan Partners Global Equity Team.
With the Fund’s name change comes increased degrees of freedom, including flexibility for the Fund to invest in both small- and mid-cap companies around the globe. Since Artisan Partners was founded in 1994, the firm has steadily expanded the investment flexibility of its existing strategies and launched new strategies with greater degrees of freedom in an effort to “increase the investment teams’ ability to generate alpha and manage risk within the constraints required by clients,” explained Artisan Partners President and CEO Eric Colson. The changes made to the Artisan International Small-Mid Fund are consistent with that evolutionary process.
