Lietuvos Energija confirmed the terms and conditions for the disentanglement of UAB Energijos tiekimas and for the establishment of a new company to which the activities of optimization of the works of power plants will be transferred. This decision was supported by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania acting as the manager of the Company’s shares.
It is planned that the new company of the group UAB Gamybos optimizavimas will start operating on 1 January 2019. Lietuvos Energija will own 100 % of the shares of UAB Gamybos optimizavimas.
After the disentanglement of the activities, UAB Energijos tiekimas will continue selling energy resources to the customers as an independent supplier, and the specific activities of optimization of the work modes of power plants will be passed to a new company UAB Gamybos optimizavimas. UAB Gamybos optimizavimas will act as a mediator of electricity generation companies in selling electricity generated by them in energy exchange “Nord Pool”. The disentanglement of the activities will not affect the customers of UAB Energijos tiekimas, and all existing liabilities of UAB Energijos tiekimas will be continued.
