DENVER, Jan. 09, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- WilmerHale announced today that Chalyse Robinson has joined the law firm as a partner in its Denver office. Ms. Robinson represents leading private and public companies and private equity sponsors in a broad range of debt financing transactions. Her arrival strengthens the firm’s Corporate Practice and deepens its rapidly growing private equity practice. Ms. Robinson joins WilmerHale from the Denver office of another top-ranked AmLaw 100 firm.
“Chalyse is incredibly well-respected and recognized for her knowledge in a wide range of debt financing transactions,” said Keith Trammell, a corporate partner in WilmerHale’s Denver office. “Her skilled handling of complex financing transactions—both as standalone deals and in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other equity and debt financings—further demonstrates our commitment to providing our clients in Colorado and nationally and internationally with market-leading experience in debt finance and leveraged buyouts.”
Ms. Robinson’s experience includes acquisition financings, including for large- and middle-market private equity sponsors; handling credit facilities for other public and private companies; subscription lines of credit for private equity sponsors; financings for investment grade and non-investment grade issuers; venture capital; and asset and reserve-based lending transactions. Her clients include companies and private equity funds active across a range of industries, including financial services, technology, entertainment, retail, manufacturing, real estate, oil and gas, mining, healthcare, medical device and pharmaceutical.
“I am thrilled to rejoin Keith Trammell and Tom Strickland and to help advance the progress WilmerHale’s Corporate Practice is making in Denver and nationally,” Ms. Robinson said. “In just a few short years, the firm’s Denver office has quickly made its presence felt and has been retained by some of the region’s and country’s most prominent companies in the areas of corporate transactions, natural resources, intellectual property litigation, complex government and internal investigations and strategic response and counseling. I look forward to working with my new colleagues to continue building on this success.”
“Among her many great strengths, Chalyse is exceptionally entrepreneurial and collaborative. WilmerHale colleagues and clients will benefit from her extremely broad debt finance practice. She is a terrific addition to our team, and we are delighted she has chosen to join us,” said WilmerHale Co-Managing Partner Susan Murley.
With the addition of Ms. Robinson, the Denver office of WilmerHale has grown from just two attorneys in 2014 to more than 20 attorneys today. Over the past five years, innovators, entrepreneurs and business leaders have converged on Colorado, helping it to now routinely rank as a top-five state in the areas of best places to live, fastest growing economies, best business climates and most educated workforces. The lawyers in the Denver office of WilmerHale help support that business growth, particularly in the areas of energy and environment, intellectual property, investigations and litigation, strategic response, corporate issues, and Native American law.
The Denver office of WilmerHale was founded in 2014 by former US Senator and Interior Secretary Ken Salazar. The office’s key practices and unique strengths in growing sectors such as energy, privacy and cybersecurity, education and technology have made it a valuable addition to the Denver market.
Ms. Robinson earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Utah (Phi Beta Kappa) and her JD from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She is a member of the board of directors of the Colorado Lawyers Committee, and she previously served on the boards of the International School of Denver and the child education nonprofit Bright by Three.
