Ellicott City, MD, Feb. 19, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Data Computer Corporation of America (DCCA), a veteran-owned information technology (IT) and engineering services company, today announced that it was awarded a task order to provide technical support services to the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) E-Commerce System (ECS). The contract is for $45.5 million and has a five-year period of performance.
This effort, the latest in a series of awards made to DCCA by other Government agencies, provides vital IT and engineering support for ECS. This support includes engineering management, sustainment engineering, enhancement engineering, change and modernization engineering, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) support across multiple networks, applications and databases.
“ECS provides the critical underpinning that enables the warfighter and their families to get the best healthcare available within the private healthcare industry,” said David Bower, DCCA’s President and COO. “We are delighted in the government’s decision to select DCCA to maintain these systems in partnership with DHA. We are excited to work with DHA toward our common goal of providing support to our troops and their families.”
DHA is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the US Army, US Navy and US Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable and high-quality health services to beneficiaries and is responsible for driving greater integration of clinical and business processes across the Military Health System.
“DCCA takes pride in our ability to support our nation’s military in any way possible. This contract allows us to provide solutions with the goal of improving a key system that helps deliver care,” said David Bower.
