NEW YORK, March 12, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fiduciary Trust Company International, a global wealth manager and wholly-owned subsidiary of Franklin Templeton, proudly announces that Carin L. Pai, CFA, executive vice president and head of portfolio management, has been included by Crain’s New York Business in the publication’s second annual listing of “Notable Women in Banking & Finance” in New York City.
“Carin’s in-depth market expertise and strong commitment to clients have made her a key part of the Fiduciary Trust family for more than 20 years,” said John M. Dowd, chief executive officer of Fiduciary Trust Company International. “This honor from Crain’s New York Business is a testament to the important role Carin has played in helping our clients reach their long-term goals, as well as the positive long-term impact she has had on the overall New York City financial industry.”
Ms. Pai, who joined Fiduciary Trust in 1996, is responsible for leading the firm’s portfolio management processes and managing client portfolios. Her duties include developing investment themes, sector allocations, style tilts, and stock selections for clients, and continually finding new ways to improve the client experience. Ms. Pai is head of Fiduciary Trust’s Equity Strategy Committee and also serves on the firm’s Management, Operating, and Risk Management Committees.
The annual Crain’s New York Business compilation of “Notable Women in Finance in NYC” recognizes women financial professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership and make a positive impact at their firms, as well as in their local communities. The publication highlights honorees in a special feature published in print and online.
Ms. Pai, a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts, has also been honored as a “Woman of Influence” by the New York Business Journal and was named one of the “Top Women in Asset Management” by Money Management Executive. She is an active member of the New York City division of “Women@FTI,” a program for mentoring and supporting women employees across the larger Franklin Templeton organization.
In addition to her professional commitments, Ms. Pai serves on the board of trustees of the Citizens Budget Commission, a nonpartisan and nonprofit civic organization seeking to achieve constructive change in New York City and New York State government finances and services. She is also committed to conserving her community’s natural surroundings and public parks and is a supporter of organizations such as the National Audubon Society and the New York Botanical Garden.
“Fiduciary Trust’s emphasis on enduring relationships and close collaboration makes it possible to identify the right products and strategies to meet every client’s unique needs—and also creates a professional environment where we can all learn and grow,” said Ms. Pai. “I am proud to be able to use what I have learned as a dedicated partner to clients in order to serve as a role model for women in our industry and to make a difference in my community.”
Notable women have a long history of leading Fiduciary Trust’s business. Anne M. Tatlock, the firm’s former CEO, was the first woman to serve as CEO of a major trust company. Gail E. Cohen, general trust counsel, is currently chair of the Fiduciary Trust board of directors. Paulina Mejia, regional managing director, head of the New York office and trust counsel, was named one of the “Notable Women in Finance” in New York City by Crain’s New York Business last year.
