BENGALURU, India, March 19, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Waverley Labs, a pioneer in Software Defined Perimeters (SDP) and digital risk reduction solutions, and InstaSafe, Inc. a leading provider of cloud-based Security-as-a-Service solutions for business and financial services organizations today announced a comprehensive research and development and go-to-market partner agreement supporting InstaSafe’s expansion into the United States.
InstaSafe provides a secure cloud-based platform that enables businesses to adopt cloud computing technologies and applications. InstaSafe’s security-as-a service platform helps organizations become more productive by extending the ability of its remote employees, contractors, and business partners to work securely from any location or device. InstaSafe currently serves 50+ banks and financial institutions in India.
For the first time, InstaSafe will offer Waverley Labs Software Defined Perimeter (SDP) as a proven deny all, zero visibility, authenticate-first solution to protect applications and the services of InstaSafe’s Secure Access for Hybrid Data Centers and InstaSafe Secure Access to AWS.
Under the terms of the agreement, the two companies are collaborating to deliver comprehensive capabilities for enforcing the Zero Trust Security framework for InstaSafe customers and partners worldwide. For Zero Trust to be truly secure, InstaSafe has enhanced its solution with Waverley Labs’ SDP approach that dynamically creates one-to-one connections between every authorized device/user and the protected application where data resides.
Unlike Zero Trust, that addresses security and access controls from a network perspective, and is unable to integrate multiple security controls, SDP ensures that every connection from every authorized user or any device requesting resources has to be secure while at the same time, effectively hides your resources from the unauthorized users.
“Waverley Labs is a trusted partner and true pioneer in the advent of software defined perimeters,” said Sandip Kumar Panda, CEO. “We look forward to their expertise and leadership as we continue to expand and increase the security of our offerings for our business and financial customers into North America and globally.”
“We are pleased to provide additional impenetrable protection for InstaSafe’s Secure Access customers,” said Juanita Koilpillai, Founder and CEO of Waverley Labs. “SDPs are emerging as a new security paradigm and the only proven solution for securing critical applications and infrastructure while reducing the attack surface and increasing resiliency.”
InstaSafe’s Secure Access is delivered in a simple to manage, pay-as-you-grow model that is scalable and reliable, and does not require any additional hardware. InstaSafe has grown rapidly attracting the interest of banks and financial institutions seeking secure connectivity for employees and customers. InstaSafe customers include the Tata Group, Aditya Birla Group, Asian Paints and Kirloskar among others.
Waverley Labs worked closely with the Cloud Security Alliance to develop the commercial SDP specification and has since delivered the industry’s first open source SDP as part of an award by the DHS to create new tools to defend against large and sophisticated Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
SDPs have been successfully deployed by leading enterprises such as Coca-Cola, Verizon, Mazda, and Google, and in the public sector by DHS, and continue to be tested in organized industry “hack-a-thons” (such as RSA) with an estimated 10 billion+ attempts to date – all unsuccessful.
