MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, March 21, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Romet Limited announced today that Steven F. Ditcham was promoted to International Sales Director with responsibility for Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Steven holds a BSc (Mech. Eng.) from Aston University (Birmingham) and is a qualified Export Manager with 36 years of experience selling water and gas meters and process instruments to transmission and utility companies and to the manufacturing industry in the Middle East and Asia for both Schlumberger and Sensus.
Steven began his career as a wireline logging engineer in the Oilfield industry, supervising operations in Kuwait, Iraq, Syria, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran before accepting a position selling transducers and flow computers in the Middle and Far East from a UK base. His achievement led to his promotion to Export Sales Manager for Schlumberger in Paris with responsibility for water and gas meter sales to Europe, Africa, Middle East and Far East, later relocated to Cape Town as Business Development Manager for the Water division.
Following a nearly twenty-five year career with Schlumberger, Steven accepted a position with Sensus as their Sales Director – International where he successfully expanded market channels and sales of gas meters and regulators.
