San Francisco, CA, March 28, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- In another sign of growing market interest in the SASB reporting standards, the SASB Foundation, an independent non-profit responsible for the funding and oversight of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), today announced the election of Paula Loop and Deborah L. DeHaas to its board of directors, starting immediately.
Ms. DeHaas currently serves as Vice Chairman and National Managing Partner of the Center for Board Effectiveness for Deloitte, where she is responsible for Deloitte’s boardroom programs that support corporate boards and directors in fulfilling their governance-related responsibilities.
Ms. Loop is an assurance partner and the leader of PwC’s Governance Insights Center, which strives to strengthen the connection between directors, executive teams and investors by helping them navigate the evolving governance landscape.

Ms. DeHaas previously served on the US firms of Deloitte as a member of the Board of Directors, as their representative on the Deloitte Canada Board of Directors, as a member of the Executive Committee, and the managing partner for the central region. She was named to Accounting Today’s “Top 100 Most Influential” list in 2013 and 2014, the CPA Practice Advisor 2014 Most Powerful Women in Public Accounting list, and to the 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 NACD Directorship 100, which recognizes influential leaders in corporate governance. Ms. DeHaas is an NACD Fellow and frequently speaks and writes on key topics impacting corporate governance and boards. She graduated from Duke University with a BS in Management Science and Accounting, is a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of the AICPA. Ms. DeHaas also serves on several boards including the University of Denver’s Board of Trustees, World Business Chicago, and Northwestern University’s Board of Trustees and Kellogg Global Advisory Board.

She has been quoted in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Forbes and CNBC, and has been named to Directorship Magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in US corporate governance for three years in a row. Ms. Loop serves on PwC’s US Board of Partners. Previously, she was the New York Metro Regional Assurance Leader, leading one of PwC’s largest assurance practices. Ms. Loop is a Certified Public Accountant and is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley with a BS in Business Administration.
