WELLESLEY, Mass., April 30, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Washington Trust Wealth Management, a $6.4 billion regional wealth management firm, has appointed Kathleen A. Ryan, Esq. and Mark T. Kelly, CFA, CFP, to lead Weston Financial Group, Inc., the division’s Wellesley, MA- based, SEC-Registered Investment Advisor. Ryan, who serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Wealth Management Officer of the division’s parent company, The Washington Trust Company, was named President of Weston Financial Group, Inc. Kelly, who recently joined Weston from Bainco International Investors in Boston, was appointed Principal Financial Counselor and Client Service Manager and will run the Company’s Wellesley office.

Ryan, who was just named Financial Services Industry Leader as part of Providence Business News’ Business Women Awards, oversees all aspects of Washington Trust Wealth Management including the strategic direction, service offerings and client experience. She joined Washington Trust in 2016 after more than 25 years as an attorney, most recently as a partner at the law firm Partridge Snow & Hahn where she served as chair for the firm’s Trusts & Estates practice. Ryan is a member of the Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Florida Bar Associations and a graduate of Suffolk University Law School (J.D., cum laude) and Providence College (B.A., cum laude). A Rhode Island resident, she serves as a board member for numerous organizations, including service as Past President of the Providence College Alumni Association, member of the Finance Council for the Diocese of Providence and current member of the South County Hospital Professional Advisory Board.
Kelly is responsible for overseeing Weston’s client service teams and business activities, including business development and operations. He joined Weston Financial in December of 2018 from Bainco International Investors, where he served as Managing Director and Portfolio Strategist. He has more than 25 years of wealth and asset management experience, including previously serving as a Senior Private Banker and Portfolio Strategist with Citizens Financial Group. In addition to holding both the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner designations, he is a member of the CFA Institute, the Boston Security Analysts Society, and the Financial Planning Association. Kelly is a graduate of the ABA National Trust School at Northwestern University and holds his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Bryant College, with concentrations in finance and accounting, and his master’s in finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. An active member of his community, he is a former member of the Duxbury Finance Committee, a board member of Child and Family Services, and is involved with the Duxbury Food Bank and My Brother's Keeper.
