NVBDC Founder and President inducted into the Michigan Military & Veterans Hall of Honor on May 17th

Detroit, MI, May 07, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC) Founder and President, Keith King, will be inducted into the Michigan Military & Veterans Hall of Honor on May 17th. Keith is among the first class of inductees to the Michigan Hall of Honor who are receiving recognition for service to their country. Keith is a Vietnam veteran who has served in many local, state and national leadership positions representing his fellow Veterans. He is the recipient of the National Commendation Medal, which is the Vietnam Veterans of America’s highest award.

As a 40-year veteran advocate, Keith has focused his career on working with veterans and more recently the NVBDC, “I have been honored throughout my life by the support I’ve received from family, friends and colleagues. I could not have achieved what we’ve accomplished with the NVBDC without the help of amazing professionals who are experts in their field. They have provided invaluable knowledge and advice on the journey to create a reliable veteran business certification program,” said Keith.  “When I started NVBDC six years ago, I brought with me the experience of serving in the military and all the connections I’ve made during my volunteer work over the last 40 years. With the help and support of the NVBDC Officers and Board we’ve been able to utilize our collective experience to help Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) succeed and navigate complicated systems.”

Throughout the military community, Keith’s colleagues and friends have commended him for his dedication and commitment to veterans, “I don't think that congratulations are enough to be said. You've gone above and beyond for our generation of veterans and all veterans. You have given me guidance when I needed it. This is well deserved,” said John H. Riling III, President Michigan State Council Vietnam Veterans of America.

Also offering his congratulations is John Miterko, former Vice President of Veterans Support Foundation, “What an honor, and very well deserved. Your 2nd career of helping Veterans and your devotion to all things Veterans has finally been appropriately recognized.”
