The MemSQL Kubernetes Operator connects MemSQL software to Red Hat OpenShift and other Kubernetes distributions, simplifying the deployment, management, and upgrade of our popular relational database. With this release, MemSQL has achieved Red Hat OpenShift Operator Certification, offering customers confidence that MemSQL can deliver tested and validated Kubernetes applications on OpenShift, the industry’s most comprehensive enterprise Kubernetes platform.

As the adoption of Kubernetes has grown, so too has the need for the container platform to support complex stateful systems, such as databases. Kubernetes operators make it possible for IT teams to package, deploy, and manage data infrastructure with Kubernetes.
