Ascom wins large contract in Enterprise for power plant in Germany


Ascom wins a contract to modernize the communications installations and person security in one of the largest power plants in Germany. The contract over 10 years amounts to around CHF 1 million.

Ascom has gained a large contract for its Enterprise product line in Germany. One of the largest power plants in Germany will be supplied. For more than 10 years the power plant has trusted in the DECT communications system of Ascom with a personal emergency signal system to protect the employees.

The won contract encompasses the migration of the existing communications system to the modern IP-DECT system of Ascom. More than 1,000 new base stations and over 200 robust IP-DECT Protector terminals are used.
