The Company informs that on 31 July 2019 the Supervisory Board of the Company approved the updated Investment Plan of ESO for the following 10 years (hereinafter – the 10YIP) (attached).
The 10YIP provides that over the next 10 years (2019-2028) ESO plans to invest EUR 1.83 billion in the reliability and safety of the network, technological and smart solutions, customer experience management, development of the electricity market through open and neutral platform solutions, and the promotion of the creation of a service market, which provides the same operating conditions for all market participants. These investments will make it possible to significantly increase network resistance to atmospheric factors, obtain accurate real-time information, provide the best value to customers, the empowering infrastructure will allow market participants / energy suppliers to develop and provide services that meet individual needs of each customer.
The adoption and implementation of specific decisions in pursuit of these goals (including the scope, timing, method of financing and other aspects) will depend on specific economic, legal and other factors that may influence such decision-making and effective implementation of the decisions made. Investments will be approved with regulatory authorities in accordance with the procedure established by legal acts, therefore the ESO’s investment projects provided in the 10YIP may not be considered final decisions to invest or to conduct other actions.
The objectives of the 10YIP are aligned with the goals set in the National Energy Independence Strategy, the ESO strategy till 2030 and with the strategy LE2030 of Lietuvos Energija Group.
