ALICE Training Institute® and NaviGate Prepared® Join Forces for the Betterment of School and Community Safety

The combination helps fulfill each company’s mission to make K-12 schools safer nationwide with robust prevention and preparedness solutions.

Medina, OH, Nov. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Today, ALICE Training Institute, the leading active shooter preparedness company in the U.S., announced the acquisition of NaviGate Prepared, whose emergency preparedness and threat assessment software platforms help K-12 school systems successfully manage the complexities associated with any school safety initiative. The combination of these two organizations, along with the acquisition of SafePlans™ earlier in the year, now provides K-12 school systems and their communities with a holistic, best in-class solution for emergency preparedness, threat assessment and active shooter training and response.

“We are excited to welcome NaviGate Prepared to the ALICE family as we continue to build out the emergency preparedness solutions schools and communities demand,” stated Dave Mueller, CEO of the ALICE Training Institute. “They are clearly the category leader of cloud-based emergency prevention and preparedness software and are used by a significant portion of the K-12 market.”

The NaviGate Prepared software suite is designed to provide highly streamlined processes, easy access for staff, real time intelligence for first responders, and peace of mind for students, parents and staff.  “Joining forces with ALICE gives us the ability to make schools safer than ever before,” stated Thom Jones, General Manager of NaviGate Prepared. “The combination of the NaviGate Prepared software suite and safety content with ALICE’s expertise in active shooter response provides a more robust safety program for schools moving forward.”

Navigate Prepared recently released a first of its kind, cloud-based platform for student threat assessment. This new release allows school systems to align with federally recommended models, streamline documentation and reporting, collaborate among teams, share with outside agencies and streamline the case management process to create a culture of safety, respect, and emotional support.

“This union is an important step forward in truly being able to help schools better prevent, prepare, respond to any emergency and recover afterwards,” stated Mueller. “Together, we can better assess the threats our K-12 schools face, help train staff and students in the most effective and appropriate way and provide a more comprehensive school safety preparedness solution.”
