Calgary, Oct. 24, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bow Valley College is pleased to announce the appointment of Tasneem Rahim as Vice President, External, effective immediately.
Ms. Rahim has been serving as Interim Vice President, External since April 2023 and previously held the role of Director of Fund Development and Alumni Engagement at the college for six years.

As Vice President, External, Ms. Rahim will lead the college’s fund development, alumni engagement, and government relations portfolios. She will guide strategic partnerships and business development, overseeing revenue growth, applied research opportunities, innovative project and product development, workplace training and transitions, and assessment.

As Director of Fund Development and Alumni Engagement, Ms. Rahim established Bow Valley College as a partner of choice for donors and industry and expanded our alumni affinity and programming. She has led the college’s endowment campaign and transformational gifts, championed the annual Premier’s Scholarship Luncheon, and has been an integral part of setting the institution’s strategic direction.
Her post-secondary experience began at the University of Calgary, first as Associate Director of Development Major Gifts in 2011, and later as Director of Development, Faculty of Arts, Libraries and Cultural Resources from 2012 to 2017.
She served as both the regional and national manager of the corporate and outreach program for the Aga Khan Foundation Canada and had been manager of fund development at the Glenbow Museum.
Ms. Rahim is active in the community, currently as a board member of the Canadian Council for Advancement Education. Previously, she was a member of the Government of Alberta’s Anti-Racism Advisory Council for Alberta, Habitat for Humanity, and held several volunteer positions locally and nationally, serving His Highness the Aga Khan’s council for the Prairies.
