Keystone Automotive Industries Sells Remainder Of Automotive Aftermarket Mechanical Parts Operations


POMONA, Calif., Nov. 20, 1998 (PRIMEZONE) -- Keystone Automotive Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: KEYS) today announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell the Denver, Colorado facility of its automotive aftermarket mechanical parts operations. At closing, Keystone will have completed the divestiture of the mechanical hard parts operations purchased in its acquisition of Republic Automotive Parts earlier this year.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Keystone Automotive Industries, Inc. distributes aftermarket collision replacement parts primarily to collision repair shops through its 100 service centers, of which 21 serve as regional hubs, located through most of the United States. Its product lines are automotive body parts, bumpers, autoglass and remanufactured alloy wheels, as well as paint and other materials used in repairing a damaged vehicle. These products comprise more than 19,000 stock keeping units that are sold to more than 24,000 repair shops.
