Andrew Corp. Orders Two-Way Fixed Broadband Wireless System from Hybrid Networks for Lima, Peru

Installation Will Be 52nd Deployment Worldwide Using Hybrid's Fixed Broadband Wireless Systems


SAN JOSE, Calif., July 10, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Hybrid Networks Inc. (Nasdaq:HYBR), the worldwide leader in fixed broadband wireless Internet-access systems, today announced that Andrew Corporation (Nasdaq:ANDW) has ordered Hybrid's two-way wireless system as part of its solution for World Wide Wireless Communications' (OTCBB:WLGSE) roll out of fixed-wireless Internet service to business and residential customers in Lima, Peru.

The installation in Lima, Peru, will be the 52nd deployment worldwide using Hybrid's fixed broadband wireless Internet-access systems.

Hybrid's equipment is integrated into Andrew Corporation's broadband network solution that features systems engineering, installation, customer support and equipment, including sector antennas, frequency converters, subscriber antennas, subscriber premise RF equipment, transmitters, network switching and routing hardware and network management.
