WASHINGTON, June 20, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- The National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), the umbrella trade association for the wholesale distribution industry, has announced a pilot program with Millstar, Inc., a supplier of products and services for the development, maintenance and distribution of product catalog information. These products and services will allow NAW members to efficiently and cost-effectively extend their product information reach. Millstar's offerings are especially useful for those smaller and mid-size companies that have limited technology resources.
"Assisting member companies to identify best-of-breed e-commerce tools is an NAW priority," said Dirk Van Dongen, President of NAW. "We have reviewed Millstar's products, services, and personnel and we have had their technology evaluated. Based on this assessment, we believe that Millstar's open technology catalog software will provide tangible benefits and we are entering this pilot to validate and quantify the value to our members."

The pilot is scheduled to run 90 days, during which time selected members will install and use the software. The results of the pilots will be evaluated and measured for operational impact, and may lead to a strategic partnership between Millstar and NAW.
