Colorado Avalanche Adds Stanley Cup Photos to Eyetide's Screensaver Network


SAN FRANCISCO, July 10, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- The 2001 NHL Stanley Cup Champion Colorado Avalanche, and Eyetide Media Inc., developer of the next-generation screensaver network(tm), are teaming up to deliver nearly 50 game action and celebration photos straight to fans' computer desktops from www.eyetide.com/avalanche. Using Eyetide's screensaver application -- the Eyetide Viewer -- fans can now customize their desktops with full-screen photos from this year's Stanley Cup Finals Game Seven, the post-game celebration at the Pepsi Center, and the victory parade that followed in the streets of downtown Denver.

The official Colorado Avalanche-Stanley Cup 2001 screensaver provides fans with an interactive experience where each image is linked to actions and information. Using a sleek, mouse-activated toolbar, fans can browse game stats, player bios, and Stanley Cup information, and/or they can purchase merchandise, memorabilia, and next season's game tickets as soon as they go on sale. In addition, right from their screensaver, fans can jump to the Avalanche and NHL Websites for the latest information and hockey coverage. Finally, the screensaver automatically updates every day, so there's no effort required; users receive new images and information through an unobtrusive background download process.

Also, an average of 55% of total unique users clicked through to the related Broncos' Website.
