Zug, July 17, 2001 - With the signing of the respective management contracts, Swiss Life Private Equity Partners Ltd. took on its new role as manager of Private Equity Holding AG and 5E Holding AG.
Swiss Life Private Equity Partners Ltd. is the private equity arm of Rentenanstalt/Swiss Life (SWX: RAN) and the manager of Swiss Life's own CHF 2 billion private equity investment program. The company pursues a diversification strategy with regard to fund participations (fund of funds concept) and focuses its direct investments on growth industries. An team of 25 people which includes the executive management of Private Equity Holding AG will ensure continuity for the existing portfolio as well as enhance the capacity and expertise for the future strategy. Together with its new partner, Private Equity Holding AG is working with the Vontobel Group to complete the transition and finalize the implementation of the new operations.
