Old Mutual plc: Payment of Interim Dividend


LONDON, Nov. 29, 2001 (PRIMEZONE) -- Old Mutual plc (LSE:OML) will, tomorrow, November 30, 2001, be making payment of its interim dividend of 1.7p per share for the six months ended June 30, 2001 to shareholders that were on the register at close of business on October 19, 2001.

In accordance with the company's Articles of Association, Old Mutual has written to inform those shareholders who have not yet cashed any of the checks for the company's previous three dividends that it will not be sending further dividend checks to such shareholders unless and until they contact the company's registrars. Under the company's Articles of Association, unclaimed dividends may still be claimed by the persons entitled for a period of 12 years from the date when originally due.
