Frontec Signs Integration Services Agreement with Statoil

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 21, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Frontec has signed a two-year agreement with Norwegian energy producer Statoil (NYSE:STO) on integration solutions for Statoil's Scandinavian operations. As part of the agreement, Frontec will develop integrated payment flows for Statoil and its customers. The agreement is initially worth approximately SEK 3 million.

"The agreement with Statoil shows that we are well on our way when it comes to offering operations integration based on standard integration software," said Michael Bergqvist, President of Frontec eBusiness. "Frontec has an excellent longstanding cooperation with Statoil in this area. The fact that, following a thorough evaluation, it has decided to sign a new agreement with us for two years is proof that the solutions we have developed are generating real benefits for Statoil."

For more than 15 years and in over 3,000 customer projects, Frontec has worked with systems integration on a national and international basis. Frontec's message to the market, and its strength, is its ability to integrate business processes within and between companies -- based on the market's best software solutions.

"Statoil standardized its messaging with Viewlocity's AMTrix Integration Broker several years ago," said Ingolf Kapelrud at Statoil AS. "The demand for integrated business flows has been constantly growing in recent years. We see Frontec's new project as part of a continuous process in which we are striving to offer our customers modern, cost- effective IT solutions."
