Gunnebo Awarded MSEK 130 Contract

Delivery and Installation of Security Windows to Defence Ministry in UK

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Jan. 23, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gunnebo's subsidiary in the UK - CSI Security Installations Ltd. - has signed a contract worth 8.45 million pounds (approx. MSEK 130) with Skanska Construction, to deliver and install 2,160 security windows for Britain's Ministry of Defence in central London.

CSI Security Installations and Skanska Construction have in recent time worked successfully together on a number of similar projects, the most recent of which, worth some MSEK 10, has just been completed.

CSI Security Installations is a business unit within Gunnebo Integrated Security Division, specialized in intruder security products and services.

"This is one of the largest contracts Gunnebo Security has ever been awarded, so far as I can recall," says Bjarne Holmqvist, Gunnebo's President and CEO. "We have already started the production and installation and final delivery is scheduled for the end of 2002. The contract means we have needed to recruit around 85 employees on a temporary basis. One of Chubb Security Installation's factories in Bedford has been dedicated to this project, with two-shift production. Further co-operation with Skanska Construction following completion of this order is currently under discussion."
