SKF Sells its Share in Hofors Energi to Birka


GOTEBORG, Sweden, Jan. 28, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- SKF is to sell its 49% share in Hofors Energi to Birka Energi. The purchase sum amounts to 18.4 million Swedish kronor and the agreement is conditional on a decision by the Hofors local council, which owns the remaining 51% of the company.

SKF's sale of its shares in Hofors Energi is a step in the Group's programme to decrease its capital tied up in operations.
