Dot Hill's Chief Technology Officer Heads Up Discussion Panel at Server I/O Conference and Trade Show 2002

CARLSBAD, Calif., Feb. 4, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dana Kammersgard, chief technology officer of Dot Hill Systems Corp. (NYSE:HIL), a leading provider of storage networking solutions, will share his expertise gained during a 25-year career as he presents and chairs a panel entitled, "The Future of the RAID Array" at the Server I/O Conference and Trade Show 2002 in Monterey, California.

The seventh annual Server I/O event brings together the thought leaders in the networking industry to plan and chart the course for the convergence of I/O networking with servers, applications, the LAN/MAN/WAN and storage networking.

According to Michael Peterson, President of Strategic Research Corporation, which is presenting the Server I/O conference, "Once again storage systems are set for an evolutionary shift, which I am calling 'storage disaggregation.' Dot Hill is an early leader in this transformation and Dana Kammersgard's panel will debate the significance that it creates on business and the architecture of the RAID array." Other scheduled members of the panel include Gabe Gotthard, vice president of marketing & business development for 3PARdata, Inc.; Hu Yoshida, vice president and chief technologist for Hitachi Data Systems; Demetri Lignos, vice president of development engineering for InPhase Technologies, Inc.; and Karl Schubert, senior vice president of Engineering for Zambeel, Inc.

In addition to Kammersgard's panel presentation, Dot Hill will exhibit its SANnet(r) storage systems and Axis(tm) storage manager in booth No. 20 at the Monterey Conference Center. Dot Hill's SANnet storage systems set new standards in terms of reliability, flexibility, density and scalability, while its Axis is the only available intelligent storage manager providing affordable remote replication, disaster recovery, and converged SAN and NAS.
