SKF Sells Premises in Stuttgart, Germany


GOTEBORG, Sweden, March 13, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- SKF has sold its premises in Stuttgart, Germany, which used to be the site for the textile machinery business. The buyer is DIBAG Industriebau AG, Munchen, and the sale price amounts to 97 million Swedish kronor. The profit from the sale has been set aside to finance restructuring measures during the year.

The premises consist of office, industry and warehouse space, in total 57 000 square metres. Over half of these buildings are let to external tenants.

The sale is part of the SKF Group's programme to reduce the amount of capital tied up in operations.
