Wilson Greatbatch Technologies Announces Staff Changes


CLARENCE, N.Y., March 19, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Wilson Greatbatch Technologies, Inc. ("WGT") (NYSE:GB) announced the resignation of Richard Mott as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

"During Mr. Mott's tenure at WGT he acquired the senior management experience that will serve him well as he pursues his career goals," said Edward F. Voboril, Chairman of the Board, President and CEO. "Mr. Mott was a valued member of our strong management team, and we wish him great success as he enters the next phase of his professional career.

"We have initiated a national search for his successor as we expand our leadership team to position WGT for the many exciting opportunities we see in the future," said Voboril.

Voboril also announced that WGT was in final negotiations with a candidate to assume the position of Chief Financial Officer. The Company has been actively recruiting for this position since the November 2001 resignation of the Company's former Senior Vice President, Finance.
