WM-data Interim Report for the Period from 1 January to 31 March, 2002


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 8, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- WM-data:


 -- Sales for the first quarter of 2002 amounted to SEK 1,840 M
    (3,635). For core operations, sales were SEK 1,825 M (1,985).

 -- Operating profit before amortization of goodwill (EBITA) was
    SEK 114 M (170). Earnings after net financial items amounted to
    SEK 87 M (135).

 -- WM-data acquired a majority holding in WM-data Ellips AB, thus
    adding some 250 employees and about SEK 300 M in sales to the
    Group. The company will comprise the foundation for a new
    initiative in the Utility sector.

 -- WM-data opened a Total Design Center at Norra Alvstranden in
    Gothenburg in which unique expertise in design and product
    development was consolidated to refine an idea into a final
    solution.

 -- The current market conditions are expected to continue throughout
    the remainder of 2002.

 -- The improvement in profit that WM-data expects for the full year
    will arise as a result of cost reductions and increased
    productivity, in part through an increased invoicing ratio.
