STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 29, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- NCC has been commissioned by Sor-Trondelag County Council for the construction of Byasen high school and occupational training college in Trondheim. The order is worth approximately SEK 375 million (NOK 306 M).
The school is designed for approximately 1,100 pupils and will include programs of both a general and occupationally oriented nature. The assignment includes construction of a library, a sports hall, a training center, an auditorium and other general facilities.
The contract, which will be conducted on a turnkey basis, will involve construction of a total of 26,470 square meters of floor space. Work will begin in June this year and is scheduled for completion in April 2004.
"The contract to build Byasen high school is one of the largest projects currently approved or under way in Trondheim. It was secured in the face of intense competition and I am delighted that NCC was chosen," said District Manager Johan Arnt Vatnan, commenting on the order.
