Bo Jacobsson New CFO for Trelleborg Group

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 20, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Bo Jacobsson has been appointed new Chief Financial Officer for the Trelleborg Group and will succeed Jan Bjorck, who has decided to leave the Group. It is planned that the changeover will become effective during the autumn.

Bo Jacobsson, 51, has extensive experience of Swedish business and industry, most recently as Chief Financial Officer of Telia AB and prior to that as CFO and subsequently President of the Scancem Group.

However, Trelleborg will be no new experience for Bo Jacobsson. He was formerly the Group's CFO between 1990-1997.

After three successful and intensive years during which the repositioning of the Group was implemented, Jan Bjorck, 57, has decided to leave the Group to concentrate on less demanding pursuits.

"The role of CFO in a global Group such as our own is a key position," said Trelleborg's Chief Executive Officer Fredrik Arp. "It therefore feels extremely gratifying that we have been able to attract such an experienced CFO as Bo Jacobsson to join us now that Jan has taken the decision to take things more easy."

"After several years outside the Group, it now feels challenging and stimulating to be involved and make a contribution to Trelleborg's continued development," said Bo Jacobsson.

In conjunction with the assumption of his new position, Bo Jacobsson will relinquish his current Board duties for Dunker Funds and Foundations.

Any further information will be provided by CFO Jan Bjorck, who can be contacted on +46 (0)410-670 28 and by Bo Jacobsson on +46 (0)706-86 65 60, or by Senior Vice President Corporate Communications Mikael Bystrom on +46 (0)410-670 37, or 0708-55 21 69.
