NCC Leases Premises in Centralhuset, Gothenburg, to Lindex

SOLNA, Sweden, Sept. 2, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- NCC Property Development and Lindex have concluded a lease regarding premises in the Centralhuset building in Gothenburg. Lindex, which is to lease 6,440 square meters of the total of 8,300 square meters of office space in Centralhuset, will move its head office to the property.

Centralhuset, which is being developed and built by NCC, is situated right next to the central railway station in Gothenburg and constitutes the final phase of the Gothenburg Travel Center project. The property will contain a 300-room hotel (First Hospitality), about 500 office workplaces and some 20 retail outlets.

Including the lease signed by Lindex, 80 percent of Centralhuset is now leased. Interest in establishing operations in the property is considerable.

Lindex will transfer part of its head office, approximately 200 employees, from Alingsas to Centralhuset. Occupancy is scheduled for October 2003.

"Our vision is that Centralhuset will become a new meeting place and serve as a welcoming point of entrance to Gothenburg. It is gratifying that potential tenants have shown so much interest in the project," said Stephan Ekstedt, Regional Manager at NCC Property Development.

Parts of Lindex's operations will remain in Alingsas. NCC will assume responsibility for the premises Lindex vacates by acquiring the property in Alingsas, which contains about 10,000 square meters of space.
