NCC to Build Offices in Bergen, Norway, for SEK 120 Million

SOLNA, Sweden, Sept. 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- NCC Construction Norway has been commissioned by Rasmussen Eiendom to construct an office building in Bergen, Norway. The contract is worth approximately SEK 120 million (NOK 96 million).

The assignment consists of the project design and construction of an office building with a total of 13,800 square meters of floor space. Offices will account for 7,400 square meters of the total floor area, parking spaces for 3,200 square meters and a car salesroom/repair shop for 3,200 square meters. The address of the office will be Fjosangervagen 68.

Work is already under way and the assignment is scheduled for completion in December 2003. At most, about 100 employees will be engaged in the project.

"The building, which will be situated by one of the busiest access roads to central Bergen, will have a modern design based on prefabricated concrete sections. Foundation-engineering work involves both geotechnical and environmental challenges, and we are pleased to have found solutions to the problems in these areas," said Trygve Mo, District Manager, NCC Construction Norway.
