LONDON, June 19, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- On 16 June 2003, Cordiant's (NYSE:CDA) (LSE:CRI) ordinary shares were suspended pending clarification of the Company's financial position. The Company had been subject to uncertainty with regard to its position with its lenders in the context of negotiations for a possible offer for the Company. Cordiant's ordinary shares will recommence trading with effect from 8 a.m. today following resolution of the Company's position with regard to its lenders in the context of the proposed acquisition of Cordiant by WPP, announced today.
