SKF wins Prestigious Ferrari Maserati Group Innovation Award


GOTEBORG, Sweden, July 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- SKF (Nasdaq:SKFR) at the third annual "Podium Ferrari" award ceremony, held in Maranello, Italy, SKF was honored for "its continuous ability to innovate, supplying bearings of the highest possible standard for the Formula 1 single-seater as well as the Ferrari and Maserati Grandturismo road cars".

The "Ferrari Innovation Award", given once per year, was presented by Ferrari's Technical Director of the Scuderia, Ross Brawn, Engine Technical Director, Paolo Martinelli and by Scuderia Ferrari drivers Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello to SKF Automotive Vice- President, Riccardo Dell'Anna.

SKF is an official supplier and technical partner to Scuderia Ferrari, and a major supplier of bearings and related products for the Ferrari Maserati Group's Grandturismo production road cars. SKF's relationship with Ferrari started in 1947, and continues, unbroken, to this day.
