NCC to build nursing home in Roskilde, Denmark, for SEK 130 million


SOLNA, Sweden, Oct. 02, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- NCC Construction Denmark has been commissioned by the municipality of Roskilde to build a new nursing home. The contract, worth approximately SEK 130 million (DKK 107 million), will be included in orders received during the fourth quarter of 2003.

The construction assignment, which will be conducted as a turnkey contract, comprises 100 residential units, plus a local healthcare center with 9,600 square meters of floor space.

Among other activities, the nursing home will contain the local area's home-care, dental-care, ergonomic and physiotherapy services, as well as joint kitchen and lunch-restaurant facilities for all of the residents.

Project engineering will commence during the weeks ahead and construction will begin in February 2004. The assignment is scheduled for completion during July 2005. An average of about 80 people, mainly NCC employees, will be engaged in the construction project.

The nursing home is designed by the Mangor & Nagel Arkitektfirma architect firm.
