SAN DIEGO, Oct. 28, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Eyemakers, Inc. (Pink Sheets:EYEM) announced that it has closed on the first part of its transaction to acquire a newly constructed dialysis clinic. The purchase for 50% of the facility in Amaseno, Italy for E250,000 ($US295,000) is the start of a planned series of acquisitions previously announced. It is the Company's intention to finalize this first transaction before the end of calendar year 2003. The estimate for first year revenue for this facility is expected to be between E1.5 and E2.0, based on the number of fixed patient contracts in place. Eyemakers anticipates this clinic to produce above average profit margins for this type of facility. The Company has targeted additional acquisitions it feels will compliment its previously stated business model.
As previously announced, Eyemakers plans to change its name to more accurately reflect the future direction of the Company's activities. The opportunity for specialized care in dedicated facilities is one the Company feels will fill an unexploited niche in the health care field
