Northrop Grumman Dedicates New Building in Oklahoma City


OKLAHOMA CITY, April 7, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will dedicate its new Oklahoma City facility today at 6401 South Air Depot Boulevard with a ribbon cutting ceremony from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm. The facility consolidates Northrop Grumman personnel and work activities that previously operated at several company sites throughout Oklahoma City.

Highlighting the occasion will be remarks by Congressman Tom Cole; Kent Schneider, president of Northrop Grumman Information Technology's Defense Enterprise Solutions unit; and Bruce Ewing, division director of Northrop Grumman Information Technology's Defense Enterprise Solutions unit and the new facility's lead executive.

"This new facility will enable Northrop Grumman to better serve its customers and provide room for growth in this important community," said Schneider. "All Northrop Grumman sectors here in Oklahoma City can now collaborate much more closely within a consolidated facility."

The 50,000-square-foot facility holds 250 employees and has 5,000 square feet of laboratory space. At present, Northrop Grumman is leasing 40,000 square feet with 10,000 square feet reserved for expansion. The company has approximately 150 employees currently working in the building. Construction of the facility was completed in October 2003.

Overall, Northrop Grumman has approximately 325 employees in Oklahoma City, several hundred of whom work at Tinker Air Force Base. Five Northrop Grumman operating sectors are represented in the region: Information Technology, Integrated Systems, Space Technology, Electronic Systems, and Mission Systems.

Northrop Grumman supports customers such as the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, the Federal Aviation Administration's Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, and several state, county, and municipal organizations.
