STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- AB Lindex Board of Directors has appointed Goran Bille as new President and CEO. Bille is currently President of H&M Rowells.
Goran Bille has had several leading positions within H&M and has more than 20 years' experience from the retail clothing business. Goran Bille, 49 years old, is currently President of H&M Rowells. In addition, he has been Country Manager of H&M Sweden, Division Manager of H&M Ladies' Wear for ten years and responsible for H&M's purchasing office in Hong Kong and purchasing and production in London.
"Goran Bille has a solid experience of the retail clothing business. He has been acknowledged for his ability to lead and develop the employees, significantly important qualities in a staff intensive company such as Lindex," says Birgitta Johansson-Hedberg, Chairwoman of AB Lindex.
Goran Bille will receive a fixed salary of SEK 3,360,000 annually. He may also receive a flexible portion of not more than 3 months' salary. On termination of employment, a 12 months' mutual period of notice will apply. If the company terminates the employment, a redundancy payment will be paid for not more than 12 months after the employment has finished. Goran Bille is entitled to a pension from the age of 60. The pension plan consists of a bonus fixed plan, which will be 30 per cent of the salary.
