HERNDON, Va., July 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) received the corporate humanitarian award from the Arkansas governor's office, the state's Department of Human Services (ADHS) Division of Volunteerism and television station KARK for its dedication to promoting community service in the state.

The company's Information Technology (IT) sector has an established presence in Little Rock, Ark., and its staff contributes to the community both financially and physically. Charitable contributions include participation and sponsorship in the March of Dimes Walk and Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure(r), the Little Rock Marathon for City Parks and Mississippi County's bike ride for cancer. Employees also collect donations for the Coats for Kids and Marine Corps' Toys for Tots campaigns.

Northrop Grumman personnel are leaders in Little Rock community and business organizations including the chamber of commerce, Little League baseball teams, family services and rape crisis centers, and the ITT Technical Institute.
