CrystalVoice Appoints Harvey White as Chairman of its Board of Directors

Former CEO of Leap and Co-Founder of QUALCOMM Provides Leadership and Vision

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., Aug. 16, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- CrystalVoice Communications (www.crystalvoice.com), a leading provider of enterprise voice communications software solutions, today announced the appointment of Harvey White, to the position of Chairman of its board of directors. White's experience and expertise in telecommunications has positioned him as one of the industry's leading visionaries. His appointment will continue to facilitate the company's leadership in providing "Acoustic QoS(tm)" VoIP solutions that enable high-quality voice to be transmitted over any network - including those without quality of service standards, such as the unmanaged Internet.

"It is very exciting to be involved with CrystalVoice at this stage of the company's evolution," said Harvey White, chairman of the board, CrystalVoice. "This is a company with its own proprietary technology that gives it the ability to bring consistent high-quality, business class voice communications to the Internet. The increasing rate of adoption of its "Acoustic QoS(tm)" VoIP solution by a number of large enterprises is indication that CrystalVoice should have a bright future in one of today's hottest and fastest growing segments - and I am looking forward to being a part of that future."

Harvey White brings more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. An industry veteran known for his vision and expertise, White directed the spin-off of Leap into an independent, publicly traded company in September 1998. As EVP and COO of Linkabit and a co-founder and former president of QUALCOMM Incorporated, he has been a senior executive and leader of three successful telecom startups.

"I have been very impressed with Harvey's contributions to our Board of Directors," said Dan Doiron, CrystalVoice Board Member and prior Chairman. "We are fortunate to have the benefit of his experience as his insight into the telecommunications industry will help accelerate the growth of the Company. While CrystalVoice expands its customer base in virtually every industry around the world, the company will benefit from Harvey's experience and direction."

Until now, most enterprises attempting to deploy VoIP solutions have had to commit to expensive service level agreements for WAN connectivity in order to achieve acceptable levels of voice quality. CrystalVoice has developed breakthrough technology that puts the intelligence at the edge of the network, rather than the middle. As a result, CrystalVoice enables high-quality voice to be transmitted over inconsistent, variable networks, including the unmanaged Internet.
