A Physical and Spiritual Journey -- Uruguay Native Describes Immigration to United States

LOS ANGELES, March 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- In a captivating story about his immigration to the United States, Carlos Torres tells of both his physical migration to a new land and his spiritual journey into a higher state of consciousness. The result is Traspasando Limites: Travesia De Un Inmigrante (now available through AuthorHouse).

This poignant and intense personal account, written in Spanish, portrays real experiences that Torres recalls with vivid descriptions and heartfelt words. It is a story of mixed emotions and lessons learned along the way. Torres draws on the spiritual wisdom he has gained through the years and illustrates how any roadblock can be overcome with the power of the divine.

Traspasando Limites, or (Trespassing Limits), is broken into two sections. The first narrates Torres' immigration, while the second presents a commentary by the author. His main objectives are to entertain and pass on the inspiring message that people are able to gallantly triumph over any given situation as long as they reach their spiritual potential.

"This book sets forth the importance of faith and hope so that one could reach their goals," Torres writes. "Despite what the diversity may be, there is always a divine spark within us motivating us to move forward, but only when in harmony with our supreme bring."

Traspasando Limites is a vibrant story perfect for all immigrants, but especially uplifting for Hispanics making their way in a new country. Although it chronicles the experiences and insight of just one man, it truly captures the spirit of starting life anew.

Born in Uruguay, Torres later moved to San Pablo, Brazil, where he held his first job as a dental technician. He later retuned to Uruguay for formal dental education and then moved to America. He began exploring the spiritual sciences, such as reflexology and Reiki work. Traspasando Limites is his first book.
