TAMPA, Fla., May 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Remedies and health practices from ancient times often have application today. It is inspiring to consider herbs, foods and other substances that may have a positive impact on common complaints. How were various disorders treated in ancient times? Find out in the pages of this powerful new book Healing Practices: Insights from the Torah, Talmud and Kabbalah.

Healing Practices voyages into ancient texts and reveals methods of addressing the many ills that have always been part of human life. It is divided into three major parts. The first part discusses medicine through the ages. The second part is an alphabetically arranged resource of herbs, fruits, vegetables, and other foods that were used for medical purposes in biblical times. The third part, also organized alphabetically, describes other healing practices and remedies.
