DSB (Danish Railways) Signs Agreement for the use of Carmen Systems' Fleet Optimization Software


GOTEBORG, Sweden, May 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Carmen Systems and DSB (Danish Railways), Denmark's largest passenger train operator, signs an agreement with Carmen Systems for the development of a new passenger fleet optimization solution for its national and international passenger services.

Ole Raft, Planning Director, DSB said that Carmen's rolling stock optimization is expected to become an important tool for increasing efficiency at DSB.

"We expect that the project will result in a software system that will increase the quality of DSB's rolling stock scheduling," said Ole Raft. "This new system will be used for production purposes as well as for preparation of bids for new traffic in Denmark and internationally," he concluded.
