Photo Release -- Global Conductor Forecasts Fortune 500 Demand for Project-Based Strategic Staffing

Management Consultants Launch Hybrid Business Model to Respond to a Changing Market

LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., May 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Global Conductor (www.globalconductor.com), a privately held management consulting firm founded by former PricewaterhouseCoopers consultants, sees a new market opportunity emerging within the management consulting industry. Forecasting a growing demand for IT project staff augmentation from new sources that truly understand industry trends and business strategies, the firm recently launched its own strategic staffing service. Founded in 2001, the firm has enjoyed four years of continued growth serving Fortune 500 clients in the United States, Europe, Asia and South America. Each of their consultants has 10-20 years of experience, providing them with a unique perspective on their clients' pain points. The new service was created in response to a recurring customer pain -- the search and selection of effective resources to augment project staff; whether it be off-shoring, outsourcing, hiring, or in-house temporary staff augmentation.

"Usually management consulting is a separate entity from project staff augmentation and most firms want to keep it that way. Management consulting firms do not want to be seen as a project staff augmentation company for fear it will reduce the impact of their reputation. And, many staffing companies are more concerned about getting people placed than understanding the business drivers of their clients. We know that project staff augmentation can be a cost effective model to bolster resources and productivity. However, the fit between the temporary professional and the company's project needs does not always match. Companies are becoming more sophisticated about how they spend their money and they want very specific results from their investments. Management consultants have a unique perspective on understanding macro industry trends, as well as a more intimate view of the business challenges our clients face daily. We believe our industry can add tremendous value to clients by delivering the highly screened resources that are matched based on our understanding of their project needs. We also anticipate this service to increase our revenue by 30% in its first year," states Global Conductor CEO Troy Edgar.

Global Conductor sought out one of the staffing industry's top professionals to lead the new Strategic Staffing program. Kristine Pilat joined Global Conductor after ten years in the staffing agency field. She brings with her an extensive network of professionals and a highly responsive methodology to make the right fit for the client. She has a track record of fulfilling project staff needs faster than internal recruiters are typically able to do, and she has a higher quality assurance record than most staffing or outsourcing agencies. Having been a hiring manager herself, Pilat understands the industry challenges of needing to fill a position fast, and with the right individual.

"Global Conductor offers a unique benefit of being a management consulting company first who knows their clients' industries and provides strategic project staffing as an added value. We are invested in the long-term partnership with our clients, not just one-off deals. Therefore, we offer the most thorough evaluation of our clients' needs and go through extensive screening and quality management to ensure a successful match," says Pilat. "We have a large pool of pre-screened, pre-qualified professionals within our network that meet the high standards and values of Global Conductor. We listen and understand our clients' needs to find them a professional with the right skills, experience, and cultural fit."

"In response to our annual customer satisfaction survey received in Q4 2004, we saw this was the right investment at this time. We are happy to be able to fit both the consulting and project staffing needs of our clients," says Edgar. "Global Conductor attracted a top strategic staffing expert. Now we have the mechanism to provide our clients with the right consulting and project professionals within 48 hours."
