Telelogic Signs Partnership Agreement with NEC

Telelogic Aligns with NEC to Improve Efficiency of Embedded Software Development


MALMO, Sweden and IRVINE, Calif., June 27, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm Exchange: TLOG), the leading provider of software solutions that align advanced systems and software development with business objectives, today announced Telelogic Japan Ltd., has signed a partnership agreement with NEC Corporation (NEC) to align its improvement of software development efficiency program through accelerating the use of Telelogic products both within and outside NEC Group in Japan.

In April 2005, NEC established the Software Engineering Division with the mission to drive NEC Group's software engineering activities and improve software development efficiency in order to meet the rapidly expanding customer needs in the Japanese embedded software market. The partnership agreement sees Telelogic cooperate with the Software Engineering Division and related departments in delivering improvements in the embedded software development domain.

NEC will accelerate the use of Telelogic's Automated Lifecycle Solution (ALM); Telelogic DOORS(R) the market leading requirements solution, Telelogic SYNERGY(TM) for change and configuration management, and Telelogic TAU(R) Generation 2 for model driven development. The agreement will also see an integrated development environment between Telelogic's ALM solution and NEC's core assets. The usage of the ALM solution is expected to increase through the alliance.

Together with internal development, NEC is delivering solution based on Telelogic products for customers outside the NEC Group. NEC has been delivering solutions in areas that include Semiconductors, Software, Systems Integration and Consultancy based on its expertise in the embedded development arena. NEC, together with Telelogic's ALM solution will continue to strengthen their market position and meet the requirements of a wide range of customer needs.
